It is reported that the transaction volume of Lazada's live broadcast function LazLive increased by 200% after the closure of TikTok Shop Indonesia in October.

On Thursday, Ogie Baringbing, head of Lazada Indonesia's live broadcast, told the media at Lazada's Jakarta office: "Compared to last month, it has increased by 200%. LazLive is indeed playing a very important role in contributing to the revenue of Lazada Indonesia and other countries.”

TikTok Shop Indonesia officially shut down last month, a week after the Ministry of Trade issued the Minister of Trade Regulation Decree No. 31 of 2023 on September 27.

However, the latest forecast from Momentum Works shows that although TikTok Shop is blocked in Indonesia, its Southeast Asian market share will still grow, increasing to 13.9% from the previous forecast of 13.2%.

Lazada and Shopee's GMV market share will decline. Specifically, Lazada's market share was 20.2% last year and dropped to 17.7% this year; during the same period, Shopee will drop from 48.1% to 46.5%.
