Thailand Strictly Cracks Down on E-cigarette Smuggling

Customs Director General Theerat Attanawanit responded to the policy and urged customs officials to strictly prevent and crack down on illegal activities.

According to reports, between May 1 and 17, 2024, the customs department arrested 31 criminals for smuggling cigarettes into Thailand, with a quantity of 1,189,700 cigarettes worth 6,730,518 baht, as well as 14 boxes of e-cigarettes, e-cigarette liquids, and e-cigarette accessories. , quantity 35,336 pieces, value 5,590,821 baht.



All the seized materials amounted to 45 boxes with a quantity of 1,225,036 items and a value of 12,321,339 baht, which is considered a crime under the Customs Act 2017 and other relevant laws.
