Recently, TikTok Shop Southeast Asia launched new product sampling inspection regulations. This new regulation only applies to cross-border sellers who do not store their products in TikTok Shop's own warehouses.
In order to ensure that the products sold on the platform comply with various policies and standards, TikTok Shop will implement random sampling and check the quality of the products. This includes jewelry QIC (quality, integrity, compliance) assessments, warehouse audits, and verification of the authenticity and quality of the products through test purchases.
According to the new regulations, TikTok Shop will select appropriate third-party testing agencies to inspect and evaluate these sampled products. If the products are found to be non-compliant with the platform's regulations, such as counterfeit and inferior products, banned products, incorrect or missing labels, inconsistent descriptions, quality problems or appearance defects, TikTok Shop has the right to take corresponding penalties.
For products in the non-jewelry accessories and derivative categories, if they are found to have "particularly serious circumstances", "serious circumstances" or "general circumstances", the seller shall bear the inspection fee of no more than RMB 5,000.
It is worth noting that TikTok Shop is not responsible for any other losses during the sampling inspection process unless the loss or damage is directly caused by TikTok Shop itself or its designated independent agency/inspector.
