September 2025 is a busy month for e-commerce sellers in Malaysia with multiple public holidays and the 9.9 Sale all fall within just over two weeks.
For Lazada sellers, this means one thing: shipping disruptions if you’re not prepared. Some providers will be closed, while others continue operations as usual. Missing these details could easily affect your FFR and cause shipping delays.
Here’s the full breakdown of operating hours so you can plan ahead.
Key Dates & Operating Hours for Lazada Sellers in Malaysia
31 August (Sunday) — Independence Day
-
Lazada Logistics: ❌ Closed
-
Ninja Van: ❌ Closed
-
Flash Express: ✅ Open
-
J&T Express: ✅ Open
-
SkyNet (Bulky): ❌ Closed
-
J&T Cargo (Bulky): ❌ Closed
Since Lazada Logistics, Ninja Van, and bulky couriers are all off, only Flash Express and J&T Express will be running. If you rely heavily on Lazada Logistics, make sure you ship out parcels by 30 August to avoid a two-day delay.
1 September (Monday) — Public holiday replacement for Independence Day
-
Lazada Logistics: ❌ Closed
-
Ninja Van: ✅ Open
-
Flash Express: ✅ Open
-
J&T Express: ✅ Open
-
SkyNet (Bulky): ❌ Closed
-
J&T Cargo (Bulky): ❌ Closed
This creates a two-day closure (31 Aug + 1 Sept) for Lazada Logistics and bulky couriers. When they resume on 2 Sept, there will likely be a backlog, so be prepared for slower processing. Sellers using Ninja, Flash, or J&T Express will still be able to move parcels.
5 September (Friday) — Maulidur Rasul
-
Lazada Logistics: ❌ Closed
-
Ninja Van: ✅ Open
-
Flash Express: ✅ Open
-
J&T Express: ✅ Open
-
SkyNet (Bulky): ❌ Closed
-
J&T Cargo (Bulky): ❌ Closed
A Friday closure means bulky parcels won’t move until the following week. If you sell large or heavy items, push them out earlier in the week to avoid weekend delays.
9–11 September (Tuesday–Thursday) — 9.9 Mega Brands Sale Peak
-
All providers operating as usual (9am–6pm)
While all couriers are open, the order volume will skyrocket. To protect your SLA:
-
Pre-pack stock and print AWBs in advance.
-
Hand over parcels in the morning rather than waiting until cut-off.
-
Allocate extra packing manpower if possible.
15 September (Monday) — Additional public holiday in conjunction with Malaysia Day
-
Lazada Logistics: ❌ Closed
-
Ninja Van: ❌ Closed
-
Flash Express: ✅ Open
-
J&T Express: ✅ Open
-
SkyNet (Bulky): ❌ Closed
-
J&T Cargo (Bulky): ❌ Closed
Both Lazada Logistics and Ninja Van are closed, together with bulky couriers. This leaves only Flash and J&T Express operating. Sellers relying on LL or bulky should warn customers about possible delays.
16 September (Tuesday) — Malaysia Day
-
Lazada Logistics: ❌ Closed
-
Ninja Van: ❌ Closed
-
Flash Express: ✅ Open

J&T Express: ✅ Open

Key FFR Guidelines for Lazada Sellers in Malaysia
Public holidays don’t mean SLA (Service Level Agreement) rules are paused, they still apply. That’s why sellers must plan handovers properly to avoid penalties.
Standard Orders
-
Order Confirmed before 11am → You must hand over the parcel and get it scanned by courier by 11:59pm the same day. Example: If a customer orders at 9:30am, you must ship it out by that night.
-
Order Confirmed after 11am → You have until 11:59pm the next day to hand over. Example: If an order comes in at 3:00pm on 2 Sept, you need to hand it over by 11:59pm on 3 Sept.
Delivered-by-Seller (DBS) Orders
-
Orders must be updated to “Successful Delivery” or “Failed Delivery” within 7 business days of order creation.
This means you cannot sit on DBS orders, whether delivered or failed, the system must be updated within the 7-day window. Otherwise, it counts against your performance.
Take Control of Your Inventory
Public holidays and courier closures can easily disrupt your fulfillment flow, especially around 9.9 Mega Sale, when order spikes are massive. The last thing any seller wants is to run out of stock for a product that’s already enrolled in promotions.
By reserving inventory in advance, sellers can make sure promotional products are always prioritized, even when order volumes surge. BigSeller’s Reserved Inventory feature makes this process easier by separating promo stock from regular stock, so you don’t need to track everything manually.
