If a product unexpectedly becomes popular in your chat, add it to your shopping bag right away so people can buy it immediately. Also, if your audience turns out to be different from who you expected (for example, younger or interested in a different type of product), be flexible and add items that will appeal to them.

Set Up a Livestream Sale With Countdown Timers

  • During your Shopee livestream, you can activate a Livestream Sale by clicking the Shopping Bag icon.

  • You decide how long this special price lasts. It can be:

    • Until your livestream ends, or

    • For a specific time period (anywhere from a few seconds up to almost 24 hours).

What buyers see:

  • Your viewers will see a countdown timer showing how much time is left for the deal.

  • They’ll also see how many items are left in stock at this special price.

  • These two things (timer and stock count) create urgency, encouraging shoppers to buy before the deal ends or the item runs out.

Reserved Stock:

  • You set aside a certain number of products as reserved stock just for this livestream sale.

  • This means you won’t accidentally sell more than you have during the sale, helping you avoid overselling.

Important note:

  • If your product comes in different versions (like different colors or sizes), you can set different livestream prices for each version.

  • But the countdown timer applies to the whole product, not each variation separately.

Tag Vouchers for Flash Giveaways

Vouchers are special discount coupons or deals you can give to your viewers to make your livestream more exciting and encourage them to buy right away.

Types of vouchers you can use during your Shopee livestream:

  • 30-second voucher giveaways: You can flash a voucher on the screen for only 30 seconds by using the Toolkit icon. Viewers have a short time to claim this voucher. Once all vouchers are claimed, the offer disappears automatically. This creates a sense of urgency and excitement.

  • Permanent vouchers: If you want to have vouchers available the whole time during your livestream, you need to add products to your shopping bag before you start streaming. These vouchers will stay visible for viewers to use anytime during your live session.

However, you can’t use the same voucher for both the quick 30-second giveaways and as a permanent voucher during the same livestream. They have to be separate.

  • Follow Prize vouchers: To get more followers, you can offer a Follow Prize voucher. When a viewer follows your shop, they will see a pop-up voucher shortly after joining your livestream. This motivates people to follow you and become repeat viewers and buyers.

Host an Auction to Drive Engagement and Sales

Shopee Live lets you run auctions during your livestream where viewers can compete to win special deals on your products.

Types of auctions you can run:

  • Random winner: One winner is chosen randomly from everyone who participates. This is great for building excitement around a really attractive deal.

  • Fastest finger: The first ten viewers who tap on the auction card win the deal. This helps you sell more items quickly.

How to run an auction:

  • Start the auction using the Toolkit icon while you’re on live.

  • Name your auction using the product name and, if you want, include the special deal price.

  • You can make it exclusive for your followers by enabling the "Followers Only" setting. This encourages more people to follow your shop so they can join.

Auction process:

  • When the auction is live, the auction card will show an "In Progress" label.

  • When the auction time ends, the label changes to "End Round" and the system automatically picks and announces the winners.

  • You can’t change any auction details once it has started. If you want to cancel the auction, you must tap the X button on the auction card before it begins.

After the auction:

  • You can see the list of winners in the Auction Ranking List.

  • You can contact the winners directly through your livestream chat to follow up or arrange delivery.
