Shopee Starts Charging Order Processing Fees: What Impact Will This Have on PH Sellers?

Starting September 3, 2025, Shopee will implement a ₱5 Order Processing Fee to sustain the ecosystem, encourage platform reinvestment, and provide long-term value to the seller community.
The Shopee Order Processing Fee ( also known as the Transaction Fee in other marketplace like Singapore), is a fee charged to sellers on successful sales transactions. It covers the costs associated with payment processing and is automatically deducted from the seller's payout.
This fee will be applied to each successfully completed order and will be used to fund the ongoing development and enhancement of Shopee's infrastructure, such as enhancements to order administration, fulfillment, visibility features, and tools that assist sellers in operating more efficiently and growing their businesses.

Every properly completed order will incur a fixed cost of ₱5, regardless of its value.
Order Processing Fee Exemptions
To provide additional support for all sellers, the following exemptions will apply:
While order processing fees help the platform grow and improve services, for Filipino sellers, whose average order value is only 30-100₱, this effectively adds a 5-20% handling fee. This forces sellers to raise prices, leaving buyers to bear the corresponding costs, while inevitably causing losses for sellers with low order values.
