What Is the Shopee Brunei Expansion Programme?
The Shopee Brunei Expansion Programme is a new initiative that allows eligible Malaysia (MY) sellers to sell directly to buyers in Brunei using their existing Shopee MY shop. Once a seller is accepted into the programme, Brunei will automatically appear as an additional delivery destination during checkout.
Shopee handles the backend adjustments so sellers can expand to Brunei with the same processes they already use for local orders.

1. Expand Market Reach Instantly
West Malaysia sellers can now tap into the Brunei market directly from their existing Shopee MY store. This gives sellers extra exposure and a new customer base without needing cross-border setup.

Sellers do not need to open a separate Brunei shop. All activities including product listings, pricing, promotions, fulfilment settings, and order management remain within the same Seller Centre account. Everything is handled just like a normal MY order.
3. No Additional Fees
Joining the programme is completely free. Shopee absorbs the operational costs related to onboarding, enabling sellers to expand without worrying about extra charges.
4. Shopee-Supported Shipping to Brunei
All Brunei orders will be shipped using Shopee Supported Logistics (SSL). This includes:

Sellers simply prepare the parcel and hand it over as usual.
5. Full Delivery Coverage in Brunei

6. Simple Weekly Onboarding
Sellers who want to join must fill in the official opt-in form. Submissions made every Sunday at 11:59 PM will be processed in that week’s review cycle. Approved sellers will receive an email confirmation.

If East Malaysia sellers opt in, orders to Brunei still cannot be delivered at the moment. These sellers will see an “unsupported address” message in their shipping settings.
Shopee may expand support to East Malaysia in the future, but for now, the programme only applies to West Malaysia.
How Does Fulfilment Work?
Fulfilling Brunei orders under the Shopee Brunei Expansion Programme works almost exactly the same as fulfilling normal Malaysia orders. This is one of the main advantages, sellers do not need to learn new workflows or handle any special cross-border arrangements.
Sellers can choose either:

Pick-up, or

Drop-off
as long as the order is shipped through Shopee Supported Logistics (SSL).
Because the programme relies on selected SSL channels, cross-border delivery and customs procedures are fully managed by Shopee’s logistics partners.
Important: Before fulfilling Brunei orders, sellers must ensure that Doorstep Delivery is enabled in the shop’s Shipping Settings. Only SSL channels that support Brunei shipments will appear once a seller is successfully onboarded.

How to Join the Brunei Expansion Programme
Sellers only need to complete two simple steps.
Step 1: Enable Shopee Supported Logistics
In the Shopee Seller App:
Me → My Shop → Shop Settings → Shipping Setting → Shipping Channel → Toggle on “Doorstep Delivery”
Your shop must have SSL enabled, as this is the only fulfilment method allowed for Brunei orders.
Step 2: Submit the Opt-In Form
Fill in the official opt-in form and submit it by Sunday, 11:59 PM to be included in the weekly review cycle.
If your application is approved:

Shopee will send an onboarding notification email, and

The “Doorstep Delivery (Brunei)” option will automatically appear in your Shipping Channels by the following Sunday, 11:59 PM.

Already clicked “Accept” in the Seller Centre pop-up?
If you have already accepted the programme via the pop-up notification, you do not need to submit the form again. Shopee will review your eligibility automatically.
