Shopee Malaysia Updates Days to Ship (DTS) & Shipping Policy Starting 11 February 2026

If you’ve ever felt like Shopee’s shipping rules quietly change how you run your daily operations, this update is one you shouldn’t skim.

Starting 11 February 2026, Shopee is revising several fulfilment-related policies, including Days to Ship (DTS), Auto-Cancellation, Late Shipment Rate (LSR), and Fast Handover Rate (FHR). On the surface, it looks like a system tweak. In reality, it affects how fast you need to pack, hand over parcels, and manage weekends, especially if you’re a Mall, Preferred, or Managed seller .

Here’s what actually changes, and how it impacts you as a seller.

Saturday Is Now a Fulfilment Day (For Some Sellers)

For local Managed, Preferred, and Shopee Mall sellers, Shopee will now treat Saturday as a fulfilment day across all states.

Your order preparation time, handover speed, and shipping deadlines will now include Saturday. So if an order comes in on Friday night or Saturday morning, Shopee expects it to move over the weekend, not wait until Monday.

That said, fulfilment days are still different depending on location:

  • Weekdays + Saturday are counted as fulfilment days for all states

  • Excluded days:

    • Friday for sellers in Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu

    • Sunday for sellers in other states

    • Public holidays are still excluded

If you’ve been working on the assumption that “next working day” means Monday, this update changes that completely. For affected sellers, Saturday now shortens the time you have to pack, arrange courier pickup, and hand over parcels.

Days to Ship (DTS): Why There’s Less Room for Delay

Shopee is also revising how Days to Ship (DTS) works, effective 11 February 2026.

DTS refers to the number of days you’re given to ship an order after it’s placed. The key thing to understand is that not all sellers are treated the same.

  • Shopee Mall, Preferred, and Managed sellers are under stricter fulfilment requirements, where Saturday is counted as a fulfilment day

  • New local sellers (within their first 120 days) still get more flexibility

  • DTS 0/1 only applies to new sellers after they pass day 121

Once you’re no longer considered a new seller, Shopee expects orders to move faster and more consistently. With Saturday now included, any delay especially around weekends can reduce your margin for error very quickly.

Auto-Cancellation Layer (ACL): Miss the Window, Lose the Order

Shopee is also revising Auto Cancellation Layer (ACL) 1 and 2, which directly affects whether an order stays active or gets cancelled by the system.

Orders may now be automatically cancelled if:

  • You fail to ship within the DTS you’ve set

  • You don’t arrange shipment or hand over the parcel to the courier within the allowed time

When this happens, the system refunds the buyer automatically. There’s no manual appeal step before cancellation.

For sellers handling high order volume, weekend orders, or limited manpower, this is where the risk increases. Without clear internal cut-off times and proper tracking, orders can be cancelled quietly, affecting both revenue and store performance metrics.

Late Shipment Rate (LSR): More Room, But Still Watched Closely

Shopee is revising the Late Shipment Rate (LSR) threshold, increasing it from 10% to 15%.

On the surface, this gives sellers a bit more flexibility, especially while adjusting to the new Days to Ship (DTS) rules and the inclusion of Saturday as a fulfilment day. Sellers who are still fine-tuning their workflow won’t be penalised as quickly for occasional delays.

However, it’s important to understand how LSR is measured:

  • LSR is calculated based on your last 7 days of orders

  • An order is considered late if it misses the shipping deadline shown in the order details

  • Even one busy weekend can affect your percentage if several orders are delayed at once

This adjustment is meant to help sellers transition, not to change expectations permanently. Once operations stabilise, Shopee can tighten the threshold again. Relying on the higher LSR limit long-term can be risky, especially for stores aiming to maintain strong performance scores.

Fast Handover Rate (FHR): Timing Matters More Than Speed

Shopee is also revising the Fast Handover Rate (FHR) cut-off time starting 11 February 2026.

FHR measures how many parcels are:

  • Handed over to couriers

  • Scanned within Shopee’s defined “fast” time window

  • Based on performance over the last 30 days

This means packing an order quickly is no longer enough on its own. If parcels are prepared early but handed over late or missed during courier pick-up windows, your FHR can still be affected.

With Saturday now counted as a fulfilment day, inconsistent weekend handovers may start showing up more clearly in your FHR score, even if weekday performance looks fine.

What Shopee Sellers Are Really Dealing With After This Update

For most sellers, the issue isn’t unwillingness to ship fast.

It’s more about:

  • Orders coming in from multiple platforms

  • Different cut-off times and courier schedules

  • Stock needing to be updated across stores

  • Weekend orders piling up

  • Limited time and manpower

When everything is handled separately, it becomes harder to keep track, especially when Shopee starts counting more days as fulfilment days.
