According to Vietnamese media reports, Vietnam has recently severely cracked down on counterfeit and shoddy products on the market and e-commerce platforms and required major platforms to take corresponding measures.

According to relevant media reports, many TikTok Shop Vietnam sellers have recently complained that there are currently a large number of counterfeit and shoddy products in platform stores and live broadcasts. This not only squeezes the living space of other compliant sellers but also brings bad consequences to consumers. The poor shopping experience ultimately leads to a decrease in consumers' trust in the platform, and the number of sellers' orders also decreases.

In response to these situations, Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a warning, pointing out that TikTok has not used effective measures to prevent commercial activities such as false advertising, counterfeit products, illegal drugs, and health products from unknown sources.

At the same time, Ms. Vu Thi Minh Tu, representative of Lazada's e-commerce trading platform, also said that Lazada is currently focusing on implementing policies to protect intellectual property rights; training sellers on intellectual property guarantee policies; and applying floor management technology.

"In the past period, in order to protect the interests of consumers and prevent counterfeiting, Lazada has been cooperating with law enforcement agencies and brands, especially cooperating with law enforcement agencies and signing memorandums of understanding."

"In the coming time, we will coordinate with brands and countries to deal with intellectual property infringements, including blaming the booths on the network. At the same time, Lazada will also guide the exchange conditions, promise to ensure the authenticity of the goods, and handle them strictly Stalls selling fake and shoddy goods,” said Ms Vu Thi Minh Tu.
