TikTok Shop Responds To Rumors of Commission Adjustment

It is reported that TikTok Shop Indonesia said that the company has no plans to increase the site's seller fees like the United States.
A TikTok spokesperson told the media on January 16: "Currently, we have no plans to implement the same policy (as TikTok US), and our focus remains on supporting local small, medium and micro enterprises in Indonesia.”
In October 2023, TikTok Shop Indonesia said it had 6 million sellers and 7 million content creators who jointly developed TikTok, and sellers relied on the live broadcast function to drive sales.
Previously, TikTok Shop announced that the US site will increase seller fees from the previous 2% to 6% on April 1, 2024, and to 8% on July 1, 2024.
The announcement raised concerns among Indonesian sellers about whether commissions on the site would also be adjusted.
