Self-Closing is Not Supported! Shopee Malaysia Site will Enable COD by Default

Jayson 13 Mar 2024 12:37

According to Shopee news, in order to help your store reach more Malaysian consumers, the platform will enable the cash on delivery (COD) function for eligible stores by default on March 18, 2024 (local time). Once this feature is turned on, it will be more likely to increase your product exposure.

*Eligible stores refer to stores that have opened SLS logistics standard channels.

Common Problem

1. How to check whether my store has enabled the cash on delivery (COD) function?

You can check whether this function is turned on in Seller Center>>Logistics>>Logistics Settings

2. Can the cash on delivery (COD) function be turned off?

In order to allow your store to reach more Malaysian consumers, after this cash on delivery function is enabled, sellers are not supported to close it themselves.

If you still need to turn off the cash on delivery (COD) function, you can consult the customer service team or your account manager.

3. What should I do if the COD order delivery fails?

If the delivery fails and the number of deliveries by the last-mile logistics service provider is not exceeded, you can ask the buyer to contact the local last-mile logistics service provider or the local Shopee customer service team to make an appointment for another delivery.

If the number of re-deliveries reaches the limit, or the buyer refuses to accept the order on the spot, the delivery will be deemed a failure. After the package is returned to the local Shopee warehouse, it will be processed in accordance with the international return policy.
