According to Shopee, Vietnam has become a major market for Korean beauty brands, with orders increasing more than fivefold in the past three years.
Data shows that K-beauty orders in Vietnam increased 5.2 times from 2021 to 2023, and the transaction value increased 4.9 times.
Korean beauty products dominated sales share on Shopee Vietnam last year.
COSRX, Peripera, 3CE and other brands more than doubled year-on-year.
In addition, Korean beauty brands Torriden and D'AIba are among the top ten Korean beauty brands on Shopee Vietnam, becoming "rising stars" in the market.
From January to February this year alone, sales nearly quadrupled and transaction volume more than tripled.
The number of sellers joining Shopee Vietnam more than doubled during the same period, it added.
This growth is more than five times faster than Shopee in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
"The growth in the Vietnam market is not just a temporary phenomenon, but an ongoing phenomenon, and Shopee is expanding its support for Korean sellers entering Vietnam," said Kwon Yoon-ah, Shopee Korea branch manager.
