Tokopedia Drives Local Buying, Transaction Volume Surges 9 Times During Ramadan

Recently, according to media reports, driven by activities such as "Buy Local", the transaction volume of local Indonesian brands on the Tokopedia increased ninefold during Ramadan in 2024.



It is understood that Tokopedia and TikTok Shop have jointly launched the "Buy Local" program to simplify the online purchase process of Indonesian local brands and small, medium and micro enterprise products.

During Ramadan 2024, Tokopedia launches the "Extra Fun Ramadan" campaign, allowing local Indonesian brands to promote and sell their products on a special Tokopedia page.



The "Buy Local" campaign increased Tokopedia order volume by 2.5 times in February 2024 compared to the average order volume in September 2023. In addition, the average weekly sales of sellers participating in the Extra Fun Ramadan event have more than tripled compared to February 2024.
