The Middle East E-commerce Market is Expected to Reach $57 Billion in 2026

According to research by marketing platform Admitad, online sales in the Middle East and North Africa will explode during Ramadan in 2024, with the number of e-commerce transactions increasing by 23% and the total website transaction volume increasing by 13% compared with last year. The Middle East e-commerce market has become one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.



According to a report released by Dubai South E-commerce Zone in 2023, the compound annual growth rate of e-commerce in the Middle East and North Africa reached 32% from 2018 to 2022, and the total e-commerce market size reached US$37 billion in 2022, an increase of 14% over the previous year.

The compound annual growth rate is expected to be 11% from 2022 to 2026, and the market size will reach US$57 billion in 2026. By then, the e-commerce economy will occupy 8.3% of the market share in the Middle East and North Africa.



Government policy support, the continuous improvement of the penetration rate of the Internet and smartphones, and people's growing preference for convenient and fast online shopping experience are all driving forces for the rapid growth of the e-commerce market in the Middle East.
