What are the Prohibited Items on Shopee?

Prohibited Items are specifically not permitted to be listed on the site:

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Warned Products:

All FDA-warned products, as specified on the FDA website, are strictly prohibited from being sold on the Shopee Platform. Most Common Listing Violations

✅1. Product Photos show Mislabelled Goods or Improper Packaging

Upload at least three images of the actual product, with proper packaging and labeling (e.g., product name, weight, expiry date).

✅2. Website/Social Media Links/Contact Information in Listing

Do not include social media accounts, URLs, or websites in your listing's title, description, or other sections. This includes social media/website watermarks on your listing's images (such as logos, links, and contact information).

✅3. Directing Transactions outside of Shopee

It is not acceptable to lead your buyers to purchase and transact outside of the Shopee platform via external means of contact (SMS, Email, Social Media, Messaging Apps, etc.). Similarly, the following behaviors are prohibited on the platform:

Place keywords and external shop information (e.g., contact number, email, address, social media, etc.).
Provide alternate fulfillment through pick-up/meet-up.
Offering various forms of payment outside the Shopee platform.

✅4. Profiteering

Profiteering is the excessive manipulation of pricing to increase profits on rationed items during an emergency. Listing prices should fall under the government-mandated Standard Retail Price (SRP). Please see the SRP for basic commodities and services below:

✅5. Insufficient documents to sell Registered/Controlled Products

Sellers who intend to offer registered/controlled products must get the relevant permits/licenses and submit them to Shopee for verification before they may begin listing. Ensure that your documents are complete and remain valid.
