How is it different from normal SPayLater?

SPayLater already exists on Shopee, but the standard version usually includes fees for longer instalments.

• 0% instalments for up to 6 months

Do Shopee sellers still get paid in full?

Yes.

Even though buyers are paying in instalments, sellers receive the full payment once the order is completed.

Shopee handles the instalment collection separately, so there’s no added risk or delay for you.

Shopee SPayLater fees for sellers

The programme does come with a small cost, depending on the instalment period chosen by buyers:

• 1-month instalment → 0%

• 3-month instalment → 0%

• 6-month instalment → 2%

There are also standard transaction fees and SST applied.

Fees are only charged for completed orders, so cancelled or refunded orders won’t be included.

Example of how the fee works

Let’s say you sell a product for RM100 and offer a RM10 voucher.

The final price becomes RM90.

After including transaction and programme fees, the total cost to you is around RM6.32.

For many sellers, this cost is acceptable if it helps:

• increase conversions

• reduce abandoned carts

• or boost average order value

How to enable Shopee Special SPayLater

You can turn this feature on in just a few steps:

1. Go to Shopee Seller Centre

2. Click on Finance

3. Open Payment Settings

4. Enable Special SPayLater

Once activated, it will apply to all eligible products in your store.

Things to know before enabling

• You can turn the feature on or off anytime

• It automatically applies to all products that support SPayLater

• Buyers can still use SPayLater even if you don’t join (just without 0% benefits)

• The programme is currently available to selected sellers

When should you use it?

This feature is especially useful if you’re selling:

• Mid to high-priced items

• Products that require more consideration before purchase

• Items in competitive categories where small advantages matter

For lower-priced items, the impact might be smaller. But for anything above RM100–RM200, instalment options can make a noticeable difference.
