How Malaysian Sellers Can Get Paid Faster and Boost Cash Flow with Shopee Quick Funds

Most Shopee sellers know the wait. The parcel goes out on Monday, the buyer receives it later in the week, the order completes, and only then does the money reach your seller balance. If you restock often, that delay ties up cash you could already be using.

Shopee Quick Funds shortens the wait. Eligible sellers can collect up to 100% of the escrow amount on the day an order ships. Below you'll find how it works, what it costs, which orders qualify, how to activate it, and what happens when a buyer returns something.

What are Shopee Quick Funds?

Quick Funds is a Shopee feature that advances your escrow amount at the point of shipping, instead of after the order is completed. Shopee built it to help sellers turn sales into proceeds sooner.

It is part of Lindung Niaga, Shopee's RM150 million growth package for Malaysian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) facing rising costs.

Quick Funds is available to selected sellers only, and cross-border sellers are not eligible.

How Shopee Quick Funds Works

  1. Ship an eligible order. The advance is credited to your seller balance. Advance amount = escrow amount × advance rate (%).

  2. A 0.5% advance fee is deducted from the advance amount.

  3. The order is delivered and completed. If your actual income changes, for example through a return or an order-related fee, your seller balance is adjusted automatically.

Disbursements are made daily at 6:00 PM. The advance fee is not subject to 6% SST.

Which Orders Qualify?

Quick Funds does not apply to every order. An order must meet all of these conditions:

  • It ships through Shopee Supported Logistics: Poslaju, DHL eCommerce, J&T Express, Ninja Van, The Lorry or City-Link Express. Same-day delivery channels such as Shopee Express are excluded.

  • It contains physical products. Tickets and vouchers, gaming and consoles and games, and books and hobbies are not eligible.

  • It has been shipped but not yet completed.

  • The escrow amount is at least RM10.

  • The advance for that order has not been disbursed yet.

You also have a spending ceiling. Only advance amounts up to your available limit are paid out. If your limit is RM500 and the advance amount is RM1,000, you receive RM500. Your available limit is shown on the Quick Funds homepage.

New seller offer: 20 days at 0% fees

New Quick Funds sellers get:

  • 20 days free (0% fees), counted from the first day of activation

  • A special 0.25% advance rate after the free period

Terms and conditions apply, and the offer is for new Quick Funds sellers only. Twenty days covers a few restock cycles, which is enough to judge whether faster payouts change how you buy stock.

How to Activate Shopee Quick Funds

You can open the feature in three ways:

  • Shopee App: go to Me > My Shop > Quick Funds

  • Shopee App: open the Seller Balance page and tap Quick Funds

  • Shopee Seller Centre: click Quick Funds and scan the QR code, which takes you to the Quick Funds homepage in the Shopee App

New users need a MyKad, MyTentera or MyPR to activate. If you already use another Shopee financial product such as SPayLater, you only need to enter the last 4 digits of your ID number.

You can disable Quick Funds at any time with the Disable button on the homepage, and switch it back on with Resume.

What Happens When a Buyer Returns Or Refunds an Order?

Because the money was advanced before the order completed, returns need a bit of care.

Full return or refund. Once the buyer's request is accepted, the advance already paid out is deducted from your seller balance. If your balance cannot cover it, a daily fee of 0.05% applies to the outstanding amount until it is repaid.

Partial refund. When a buyer accepts a partial refund you offered, Shopee compares your outstanding advance against the revised escrow amount (the original escrow minus the partial refund) and settles the difference through your seller balance. If part of the amount still cannot be deducted because the balance is too low, the same 0.05% daily fee runs on what remains.

The practical point: keep enough balance in your account to absorb refunds, especially in the weeks after a big sale.
